Pretty good story, went fast and was well written but it just seemed like something was left out. Now if there is going to be a second book then I have no complaints, but if not it just felt like there were some things left hanging. This story is ripe for a longer story, especially with his friend Thad hanging in the background doing God knows what. It was also never really explained why they put his teeth and blood into the dead body. I mean ok so he can say it was him and that he died and gets to start over? See that makes no sense because he can just go to a different country and start again because I don't think if he was really being followed they would go after him in a different country. And can't these vampires if they can mesmerize, as he did to the girl, do it to the guy(s) following him and make him/ them forget or think something else? I also don't see how doing what they did will cure him of not being able to kill when he eats. He will end up right back where he started and the cops will be after him again. See nothing about the whole Thad business made much sense to me. Also the story was ripe for a scientific discovery with his blood! It just seemed like so much was missing. I do hope there is more to this story. Not a bad book and I'd ad another star to my review if she writes a second book and more gets explained.

This is a very entertaining vampire story with a bored snobby Billionaire playboy Robb (Robert Chatham) who just happens to be a vampire and a very backwards, shy PHD major from America, Liz. But things aren’t always what they seem and as the story progresses you learn to love Robb and you see that he is truly an amazing soul.

Liz didn’t catch my attention till about half way through the book. I felt her character was not a strong as Robb’s though she was very likable and able to stand up against Robb’s pushing her to have his way. I do love her dedication to find a cure and how she is fine with who she is.

Secondary characters are always interesting and this book has a few. There is Thaddeus a villain of course who is definitely part of the story line and I can see him coming back in a sequel. Liz’s roommate and lab partner, Jenny as well as Gerry, Robb’s stoic butler play heavy in the progression of the storyline.

Both Robb and Liz’s characters expand throughout the story and the ending has you wanting to know more. I am heading over to read the next book in this series “BloodStricken”. Come join me!

I've come to expect a lot out of Aubrey Rose's paranormal romances. Sensual, tense, and often complicated, this book doesn't disappoint as Robb and Liz's story unfolds. I love the way her characters are portrayed, setting up a romantic tug of war between inexperienced chemistry student and mature, arrogant vampire.

Robb is no ordinary Count Dracula, nor just a re-hashed billionaire. He combines the supremely sexy and dangerous qualities of both those familiar figures into a man who poses a very stiff challenge for young Liz. A sudden tryst between them brings her into his private world. Robb has long ago mastered business and himself, even as he lives by carnage, but the one thing he wants most seems forever out of reach.

Liz may just hold the cure to his supernatural ailment and his heart. Of course, it's a very bumpy ride for her through the billionaire vampire's world. I wouldn't expect anything less from Ms. Rose. There's lots of steam, suspense, and a witty side plot along the way.

This story has a lot of romantic twists and blowouts that will keep you guessing! This is a perfect Rose book to round out a paranormal romance collection or a must buy if you've enjoyed her previous romances with a touch of the supernatural.
Heartbitten was a pretty interesting novel. I am a huge fan of Aubrey Rose but I wouldn't say this is one of my favorites but it could be. I hope there's a sequel planned for this because the majority of this novel I was extremely confused. Although so many questions were unanswered I feel like it could easily be rectified in a second book. At the beginning I was a little freaked by Robb being taken at thirteen. Then I started thinking well maybe they feed off of him for a while and then changed him later but then I read how other vampires even Thaddeus only killed their pray. So once again I was a bit confused. Also whats up with the cryptic message Jenny gives Liz and is Thaddeus Robb’s maker, but he cant be so why does Robb owe him a favor? The good thing about Heartbitten is that I could be a stand alone even with all the unanswered questions with a little imagination.
Aubrey Rose continues to mesmerize and captivate her readers. I found a true escape from reality. I didn't want the book to end. Gave the book 5 stars, the storyline was suspenseful and dramatic,thrilling and enchanting. My beautiful monster..though he was not a MONSTER. Billionaire lathario Robert Chatham, is ruthless and demanding..when he wants blood he is ferocious and intense. Changing women like changing underwear..seriously! But through it all he knows there is more to be had but WHAT? He is only in it for the decadence of the blood, the insatiable need for sex and blood is what drives him until he meets the one woman who is his everything. Liz has only one objective find a cure for cancer, cancer to be exact. Her sister's death keeps her focused. That is until Robb, finding him in a compromising position and the horrors that now haunt her can she overcome her fears. The blood is seductive and the pull is so great can she resist the vampire? Can they find what they so desperately want? Bravo Aubrey!
