Collars and Cuffs Book Five

When I began reading Damian's Discipline I was delighted to again enter the wonderful world of Collars and Cuffs, one of my absolute favorite series. However, I had an 'excuse me, what did you say?' moment when I discovered that this was a Collars and Cuffs story without BDSM.The story follows Jeff, a severely damaged young man who unfortunately also fell under the control of a thoroughly despicable villain we were introduced to in a previous Collars and Cuffs story. I wouldn't call Jeff broken because he has a decidedly feisty streak, but he definitely needs help and guidance.
The other main character of the story is Damian, a Dom who no longer has a sub, nor is he looking for one. Damian is content with his life until that one night when the phone rings and his life changes forever. Damian is a caregiver, he needs someone to look after and in Jeff, he finds someone who desperately needs him.
We are introduced to the concept of Domestic Discipline, while not a BDSM lifestyle, it a structured lifestyle with consequences for breaking the rules. We watch as both of these men come to some pretty startling realizations about themselves as their relationship grows and develops. Loved the dual POV and being able to see what goes on in each of their heads throughout the story.
Icing on the cake was catching up with many old friends from the Collars and Cuffs series, love that aspect of these books!
I truly loved this story and was thoroughly irritated when pesky little interruptions like needing to sleep stopped me from finishing it once I started it. I would not say there were an abundance of lighthearted moments, but there were many moving, touching, scary and a few heartbreaking moments - oh, and a few downright hot ones too! It is a delightful story that I wholeheartedly recommend, just keep a few tissues nearby.

Another keeper! I found the MC to be likable and consistent with their action and reactions. I also liked the their feeling ,attraction and love developed naturally over time. no insta lust/love. The way Jeff's journey was written was touching. I liked Damian completely and was he dealt with Jeff and his own changing feeling felt real. It was also wonderful to see everyone from the prior books and have them incorporated into the story. It didn't feel false. I would love the next book to have Dorian find a Sir. Maybe Ben's friend Eli.
I can't say I liked it more than the last but I definitely liked it. Jeff's mannerisms seemed fairly accurate for what he'd been through. Some of it seemed a little unrealistic. Some of Damien's actions didn't seem very realistic, or very smart either. I'm glad there wasn't a real hard-core DD relationship. It still seemed a little strange for Jeff to want that, although he kind of needed it in the beginning. The drug withdrawal didn't seem very accurate either. Real addiction is much harder than that to stop. But it was a nice ending.
You have touched my life and soul! My previous Master Byron, who died of kidney failure, had exactly the relationship with me that Damian had with Jeff. We fell into a deep love, which made His mastery more difficult. But I didn't really notice because I was so profoundly happy to just be with Him. I guess one can experience heaven here on earth, just as one experience hell and horror!

I liked this book. It doesn't follow the BDSM theme add the other books do, but explores Domestic Discipline. I liked Damian and Jeff. Their relationship was interesting and intriguing. I wish that there was some form of closure or punishment for Jeff's dealer, but it isn't something that detracts from the story.
I am really enjoying this series.
I have read all of the Collars and Cuffs stories and I have to say this one was over the top. This starts with Jeff wondering how he is going to survive when he runs into Scott on the the streets. He takes Jeff home and this is how the story starts out. This story isn't BDSM like the other stories in this series but it does show a young man who needs structure and normalcy in his life and Damien is the man to do it even though when they start they don't realize that. Bring out some tissues especially towards the end when you get the greatest surprise of the story! Loved it! If you have read any of the others please add this one. Once again awesome job Ms. K. C. Wells and Parker Williams
I am really torn by this review.
As the other reviewers have noted, this is the story of two younger guys, Damian and Jeff, whom we have seen briefly in other Collars and Cuffs stories, particularly Someone to Keep Me, which is my favorite of the series.
I absolutely adore Damian and I was crying real tears when the story ended - which is why I have given it 5 stars.
I just want to make sure that people give this story a few pages to develop - the beginning was a little more difficult to read - I don't know why, and maybe it was just me. But by the time it gets going, it's just a wonderful tale.
I don't get why the distinction gets drawn between Domestic Discipline and BDSM - the modern need to "name" everything I guess,because the parts that matter to me - the relationship between the guys involved - is close to identical. And it shows in the story. I am as attached to Damian and Jeff as I am to Thomas and Peter and if I thought Collars and Cuffs and Leo and Thomas were real, I'd be on a jet to Manchester tomorrow!
A wonderful read! I know I will read it again. Yes, I think the whole series works better if you read it in order, but this book should be ok without that, except that you're going to want to go back and read the stories of all the other characters too.
I'm already looking forward to a Book 6 - please, please don't let this world go away!
