Lost Found Tamara Larson M Froese Books
In my own opinion, the story started off as ridiculous as it could be. How can you make out with a stranger, no matter how gorgeous he may be and how naïve she may be, it just doesn't sit well. The plot of the story has nothing exciting to offer and not much of a love story. It was more of a lust story. Where two individuals suffer from intimacy hunger and who delved into it the moment they met each other and got each others' interest. Jessie was supposed to be a virgin at her ripe age but in no time turned out to be a wanton. I may have like her to stay innocent a little bit longer which could have been closer as realistic. I don't think the author gave Duncan justice as well. How could a dumb man who marries his girlfriend just because she said she is pregnant without even confirming it, turned out to be a detective? No wonder he was not able to find his sister who was simply roaming just around the corner. The conflicts and supposed suspense that the author would like to present became too predictable due to the many circumstances that you will believed are clues as they led you to the right conclusion after all.
This book is an ok read but not something you will regret not reading at all.

Lost Found Tamara Larson M Froese Books Reviews
I have to admit, at first I didn't think I was going to like this book. However it had me intrigued from the start. There are some parts that seemed to drag, otherwise I loved it. The connection Duncan and Jessie has is so hot! Instant love! Duncan's ex wife Kerry I wanted to bitch slap! Overall a very good book. I am probably going to get the next one.
I liked this story and all the characters. I thought it was interesting and believable except the two main characters groping each other within minutes of meeting....I mean, what virgin would do that? Anyway I'd like to read more from this author but the typos and grammatical errors distracted me too much. I'd encourage her to involve a good editor or friend to proof not only spelling but correct use of words. Believe it or not, many people pay attention to those details.
I picked this up because I like this trope. The book felt like a throwback to 90s romances of this kind, but I like those. Negatives the characters spent too much time in their own heads, but I skimmed that. There were also several homonyms mixed up (peek/peak, where/wear). Positives I read all of it in one day. I like the characters that much and enjoyed most of the H/h interaction. It was the kind of story I was in the mood for, so I rounded the rating up. I am going to check out more by this author.
This story was filled with interesting supporting characters, especially the stripper sister (Jamie) and the gay male best friend (Clay).
A few editing errors but nothing I couldn't forgive. Now for more... but first a ***SPOILER ALERT***
I was very annoyed with Duncan being married and not being truthful to Jessie, who had zero experience with men and relationships. Even though his wife was a witch and there really wasn't much of a marriage, it was crushing for Jessie to learn of Theresa.
Fortunately everything ended up well and I actually purchased the next book in the series which was the sisters story a few years later.
This book made me tired reading it.
Forget the editing issues - they weren't unmanagable - mostly missing words, but the constant "Oh woes me, I'm 26 and a virgin and I am so plain and unappealing that I might as well just forget the idea that anyone could ever just want more than sex from me even though no one ever has even wanted that before because I hide away in case I get my feelings hurt and I know I have a beautiful twin sister (I mean, really?) but no one would really ever want me" attitude that was pervasive in the first 3rd of the book (that's as far as I've gotten to this point) was redundant and bordered on silly. She admits to wearing clothes 2 sizes too big, has a very attractive twin sister but is plain and unappealing? So she's just going to go for the one-night stand because the very nice, gentlemanly, gorgeous detective who wants to make things special, sends her flowers and wants to take things slow and see what develops between them so obviously could not be interested in her really and will just get bored once they actually do it (she has so much experience with that one being a virgin and all) in order to protect herself and her feelings?
I just couldn't buy all that and thought to myself, why am I reading a book with all this contrived angst when I could read a book where I can escape for a couple hours, not get all annoyed over the implausibility of the angst? There are good things about this book - the hero is really nice to the heroine so far and the chemistry is good, their encounters are well written and the plot premise is good too. But I don't get nearly enough time to read as it is and didn't want to spend the rest of my Sunday afternoon with this book when I know I have many others that won't be tiring to read.
I really will try and go back to finish and will update this review accordingly, but for today, I just need a break from it.
I don't think I have ever read a book where the main characters acted like they didn't have a brain in their head. SPOILER ALERT!
He tells her to stay home, where he is going could be dangerous, and he cannot concentrate when she is around. Does she? Nope, she heads on into danger, then gets miffed when he does what he set out to do. He is married. Does he tell her? Nope. Not until the wife shows up. He is a cop. He confronts a dangerous suspect. Oops. The perp got a knife while the hero's mind is elsewhere during the confrontation. These are just a few examples. It was just one dumb thing after another. I don't think these people matured in any way after middle school. Grow up, people.
In my own opinion, the story started off as ridiculous as it could be. How can you make out with a stranger, no matter how gorgeous he may be and how naïve she may be, it just doesn't sit well.
